Through this online platform we are able to collect submissions and applications for various SMPS Boston requisitions, including scholarships, Board applications, and the Marketing Communication Awards.

Are you an AEC marketing or business development professional who is looking to level up your career? Interested in taking on a new and exciting leadership opportunity? The SMPS Boston Chapter is currently seeking qualified, energetic, and outside-the-box thinkers to take a leadership role in developing and advancing the Chapter’s strategic plan, as well as education, networking, and business development opportunities for its members. This provides the opportunity to:
1. Connect with current and emerging Marketing and Business Development leaders and broaden your AEC network.
2. Help advance your career through new learning opportunities and demonstrated leadership.
3. Bring visibility to your firm.
4. Create valuable and lasting connections with a team of incredible people.
The following positions are open on the 2027 Board of Directors:
- President-Elect/Vice President*
- Secretary*
- Director of CPSM
- Director of Professional Development
- Director of Outreach
- Operations & Finance Committee*
- Scholarship & Sponsorship Committee (this will be the inaugural year of this committee)
Please note that roles marked with an asterisk require you to have previously served as Director or Chair of a Committee.
Each position serves a two-year term, except for the President-Elect/Vice President, who serves a three-year term, rotating through President and Immediate-Past President.
Terms will start on January 1, 2027; however, the incoming board will meet approximately two to three times during the fall of 2026 for training, strategic planning, and goal setting for the upcoming program year. One of those times will be our Fall Planning Session in November.

Individual nominations will be screened and evaluated by the Nominations and Elections Committee according to parameters and procedures established by the Board. A slate of candidates will be selected that the Committee believes represents the best balance for the Board.
All applications are due on September 14, 2026.

Let SMPS Boston Cover the Cost of Becoming a CPSM
SMPS Boston is proud to offer need-based scholarships to help our members become Certified Professional Services Marketers (CPSM). If you are an SMPS Boston member, and your company does not cover the cost of the application and CPSM exam testing fees, SMPS Boston is here to help!
The SMPS Boston CPSM Scholarship covers the full cost of the application and exam fees, valued at $500. Scholarship recipients will be reimbursed upon passing the exam.
Eligibility
You must be an active SMPS Boston member to receive a scholarship and must commit to writing an article on a CPSM-related topic for the SMPS Boston blog within one month of passing the exam.
